BMW fest 2008 gets under way

BMW Motorrad is hosting a free day of motorcycling at Mondello Park on Tuesday, April 22nd. All bike enthusiasts can experience the entire range of BMW motorbikes, including the R1200RT, R1200GS, F800ST and the new F800GS and more. Riders have to bring their own gear and licence, but food and refreshments will be provided. Check: www.bmw-motorrad.ie

Harley-Davidson to open in Cork

The owners of Waterford Harley-Davidson have acquired the franchise for Cork city, and hope to start work on converting Quinlan's old car dealership at Victoria Cross into a state-of-the-art Harley/Buell Dealership in the autumn. Sales for Waterford Harley-Davidson are up almost 10 per cent compared to the same period in 2007.

Motocross GP for Fairyhouse

Motorcycling Ireland has agreed a three-year deal with Fairyhouse Racecourse to provide a venue for the Irish Motocross Grand Prix, which was in jeopardy after communication between the previous organisers and promoters broke down. The first event kicks off on Sunday, August 31st.
