418 homes for Glenamuck Road area in CarrickminesGlenamuck Road in Carrickmines, Dublin 18 is the subject of a number of planning applications and planning permissions.

The MCM Partnership is looking to demolish two large houses - Greenmount and Dun Óir - and build 250 residential units on 11 acres bounded to the south-east by Glenamuck Road and to the west by Enniskerry Road.

The developer has applied to Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council to build 150 apartments in five blocks rising to five storeys and 100 houses in seven blocks.

The Glenamuck Partnership has also submitted a planning application to Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council looking to demolish a two-storey house - called Willow Glen - on Glenamuck Road and build 36 residential units in a mix of 10 four-bedroom semi-detached houses, a four-bedroom detached house, 12 two-bedroom duplexes, 12 apartments and one four-bedroom end-of-block house on a 1.6-acre site.

Also at Glenamuck Road, An Bord Pleanála has granted planning permission to Ian Murphy to demolish Benolagh and Blackberry Hill, and build 58 three-storey houses in a mix of detached, semi-detached and terraced houses.

Rockridge Developments has also got the thumbs up from the planning board for a development involving knocking Knockree, a dormer four-bed house on Glenamuck Road, and building 74 apartments on a 1.9-acre site.

Creche and over 320 homes planned for Adamstown

At Adamstown in Lucan Castlethorn Construction has been granted planning permission by South Dublin County Council to renovate and extend the 19th century Airlie House - which is a two-storey protected structure - to provide a crèche with 100 child spaces.

This would involve demolishing two 20th century extensions to the south-east corner and western elevations of Airlie House and extend it by 494sq m (5,317sq ft).

Castlethorn Construction has also got planning permission from South Dublin County Council for 319 dwellings and nine live-work units on 11.3 acres bounded by Adamstown Avenue to the south.

This involves a mix of apartments, townhouses and duplexes rising to five storeys, and 590 car-parking spaces.
