211 homes for Dublin 8A developer is looking to build a mixed development on over two acres bounded by Clarence Mangan Road and Warrenmount Convent in Dublin 8.
Osprey Ltd, whose directors are Felix McKenna, Peter Callender and Thady McAleese, is looking to build 211 residential units in five blocks and a basement 240-space car-park. The proposal is also for over 4,900sq m (52,743sq ft) of office space, 16 live-work units, 10 retail/commercial units, and a crèche. Osprey is also looking to convert 10 Mill Street, a protected structure, and the former Mission Hall, which are both in ruins, into a microbrewery, a restaurant/café and bar.
The apartment blocks rise to seven storeys with an eight-storey tower. The proposal is also to culvert the River Poddle where it is exposed in the south-west corner of the site and create a water feature to replicate the former mill pond. There will also be a linear park. Access to the site will be off Warrenmount Lane to the basement car-park.
171 homes at NCR in Dublin 7
The Christian Brothers has got permission from Dublin City Council to demolish 274 North Circular Road, Dublin 7, and build a 171-unit residential scheme (with basement car-park) rising to seven storeys. It involves the relocation of a gate-lodge which will remain at the site entrance but in a position that allows wider vehicular access.
Mixed-use scheme for D7 quays
Pierse Contracting has got the go-ahead from Dublin City Council for a mixed-use scheme at 31-36 Ormond Quay Upper, Dublin 7. It includes a 98-bed hotel, offices, retail and a two-bed apartment. The seven-storey over basement hotel building will enclose a five-storey atrium and have roof terraces at fifth floor level. The goods entrance will be onto Ormond Square with the main reception area on Ormond Quay Upper. The office accommodation will span four floors and there will be basement car-parking for 14 cars.

Sherborough Enterprises Ltd is looking to build 144 apartments and duplexes at Carberry Road, Dublin 9.This involves the removal of a telecommunications mast on the site. The proposal is for five low-rise apartment blocks along the west and north boundary of the site, surface car-parking for 75 cars and basement car-parking for 139 cars.
