One of Ireland's most traditional bars, Tynan's Bridge House Bar at John Street, Kilkenny, is expected to make between £700,000 and £800,000 when it is auctioned on October 21st by Gunne Property Consultants and McCreery Auctioneers. The three-storey over basement premises includes an attractive shopfront to a superb Edwardian bar with many original features including gas lamps and a mahogany carved bar counter with an Aberdeen granite and marble top. There are five bedrooms and other living accommodation on the upper floors. The pub has been owned by the Tynan family since 1919.
