IF YOU ARE feeling a tad overwhelmed by the prospect of replacing your kitchen, the Irish Kitchen and Bedroom Association (IKBA) is holding a New Kitchen Design seminar at Fonthill Retail Park on Saturday, September 24th to guide people through the process.

According to the association, advances in kitchen design in recent years have seen people moving away from the traditional work triangle to the idea of a zoned kitchen designed and organised around the activities that take place there. The aim of the event is to advise people how to get the best kitchen for their lifestyle and budget.

It is on from 11am-1pm and features three presentations followed by a question-and-answer session with a kitchen designer, interior designer, architect, appliance expert and a construction project manager.

Attendees should bring copies of any architects plans they may have. Tickets are free but anyone interested in attending should e-mail info@ikba.ie to reserve a place. Or check out ikba.ie for chef Catherine Fulvios tips on designing “Better Kitchens for Cooks”.
