From harbour penthouses to suburban semis, there is still plenty on the market as the season runs into its traditional summer lull.
Fourteen one and two-bedroom apartments from £210,000 (for the smallest 680 sq ft unit) are left for sale through agent Ross McParland at The Pavilion scheme on Dun Laoghaire seafront - as well as one 2,225 sq ft penthouse with a bird's eye view of the harbour, available for a cool £1.4 million.
All the Pavilion apartments have large balconies off both the sittingroom and main bedroom. Some retailers have already moved into the shops at the block's lower level, including a Meadows & Byrne outlet. A civic theatre and fitness centre are due to open in early autumn.
The mixed residential, cultural and retail aspect of this scheme is expected to revitalise the seafront area of the busy ferry port. Two of the large, 2,000 sq ft, four-bed dormer bungalows at Pemberton, on Herbert Road, Bray are on the market at £425,000 and £450,000. Location and size are the chief selling points, according to joint agents Ross McParland and H J Byrne. Twenty-seven have been sold and a further 12 will be released later this year.
Features include en suites in two of the four bedrooms, conservatories with most units, timber Rationel windows, a high ceiling in the sittingroom and a spacious main bedroom under the eaves. At Rockford Manor on Stradbrook Road, Blackrock, seven three-bedroom terraced townhouses of just under 1,000 sq ft, costing from £335,000, are being released on the market in a new phase. Finished to a high standard, these are in a very private setting behind high stone walls and have their own putting green, gazebo and croquet lawn. Selling agent is Hooke & McDonald.
Accommodation at Rockford Manor, built on part of the Rockford Manor school grounds and almost opposite Blackrock College Rugby Football Club, is a mixture of three-bedroom houses and three-bedroom apartments and penthouses. Leahy Property Consultants is selling four 1,250 sq ft semis at St John's Wood, Lucan priced from £176,950.
These have four bedrooms (one en suite), an interconnecting sittingroom and diningroom and a Shaker-style maple kitchen/breakfastroom. There is also a downstairs lavatory and utility room.
The houses are in cul-desacs. The development is almost completed and many of the houses sold in earlier phases are in occupation.
