More than 48 acres of land adjacent to Dunshaughlin, Co Meath - some of it zoned for housing and more for a hotel and leisure facilities - is expected to make over £7 million (€8.9m) when sold in three lots through local agent Padraig Sherry of Sherry FitzGerald Sherry. The joint agent is DTZ Sherry FitzGerald.
Of the 48.5 acres going for sale by tender along with the period Sheaghnal House, about eight acres have been zoned for housing. The large period house, and five acres including old farm outhouses, have been earmarked for a hotel and other community facilities. The remainder of the land (36 acres) is zoned for agricultural use, but because of its location beside the town, there should be no shortage of buyers for this in the expectation that it will be rezoned for housing in the medium term.
