The well-proportioned orangerie on show at a large Victorian house at 1 Elgin Road, is by Amdega (048-91270656). The design is rooted in heritage and balances the minimalism of the pure white furnishings with the painted white wood.

The world’s oldest designer and manufacturer of conservatories, Amdega, has been in existence since 1874, specialising in conservatory designs that blend with original parts of the house. The company also carries out reinstatement work, recently rebuilding one of its own 1909 designs for Matfen Hall in Northumberland.

The painted timber style pictured will cost between €45,080 and €56,350.

Four pure-as-the-driven-snow white velvet armchairs complete the scene. This Goya style by Minotti has metal feet and is from Minima (01-6627894) at €2,050. The ebony-topped Calder coffee table, is also by Minotti at €1,392.
