New homes in Co Wicklow

New housing developments are springing up throughout the county, with the exception of Arklow where prices have not risen enough for builders to risk investment, and estates such as Emyvale are at a standstill until prices increase. Plans are in place for the redevelopment of the waterfront in Wicklow town. Wicklow County Council has already improved the area somewhat with the installation of a new playground, outside gym and skateboard park.

Ardglass, Baltinglass

CME Auctioneers are selling the remaining four bedroom semi-detached and detached homes at Ardglass in Baltinglass. Developed by Anthony Neville Homes, these 140sq m homes start at €187,000. Wicklow Hills, Newtownmountkennedy Sherry FitzGerald is selling a selection of houses built by Tower Homes. Ranging from 92sq m two-bedroom townhouses priced at €195,000, to four-bedroom detached houses asking €265,000, there are also 93sq m three-bedroom townhouses for €215,000 and 104sq m three-bedroom semi-detached units for €240,000. All 60 units are A-rated.

Marlton Hall, Wicklow town

This scheme, built by Robecco Construction, has addressed the energy efficiency issue with the installation of solar panels, natural gas, and rain water harvesters for toilets. In a combination of styles, the 68-unit development is available jointly thorough Sherry FitzGerald Myles Doyle and O'Neill & Flanagan, with 102sq m three- bedroom semi-detached houses starting at €275,000.

Kirvin Hill, Rathnew

Phase two of Kirvin Hill by Broomhall Developments in Rathnew is being launched by Sherry FitzGerald Catherine O'Reilly, after the 19 houses in phase one sold out in six weeks. With a total of 95 units, the development will offer three bedroom semi-detached and four bedroom detached properties asking in the region of €250,000 and €340,000 respectively. Dig outs at Burkeen Farm will start in the next few weeks and the development will offer more than 400 new units. The units are also available through Sherry FitzGerald Catherine O'Reilly.

Glendale, Delgany

After a two-week sell-out of the 14 Wood Group Homes at Churchfields, the Glendale development will offer eight detached, 144sq m four-bedroom units priced at €515,000 at The Old Nurseries in Delgany.
