The former Grammar School, near the centre of Galway city, which is listed for preservation, is expected to make in excess of £1.5 million when it is sold by tender through Keane Mahony Smith. The building dates from 1815 and was formerly owned by the National University of Ireland. Planning permission to convert the 11,000 sq. ft building into 24 apartments ran out about three years ago.
