The very first pint of Guinness was brewed in Leixlip and this picturesque town by the Liffey is still a very satisfying place to live, according to agent Gerry Leahy. Leahy Properties is launching Rinawade, a small scheme of three-bedroom and four-bedroom houses just outside the town this weekend, with completion dates from July to September this year.

There will be a total of 22 semi-detached in the Rinawade scheme. Prices start at £119,950 for a 1,100 sq ft three-bedroom semi and £155,000 for a 1,340 sq ft four-bedroom semi-detached house. The builders of this development are Glade Court Limited.

Across the road, the Intel and Hewlett-Packard plants should ensure a continuous supply of tenants for investors in the scheme. The site is bounded by the N4 motorway and the suburban railway station at Leixlip is nearby. Fireplaces are standard as are Regency-style panelled doors and coved ceilings. Garages could become a rarity in new developments should densities be increased.
