A landscape striptease ? What can the Irish landscape Institute mean? All will be revealed, so to speak, if you go along to a talk next Thursday, March 25th, to be given in Pearse Street library by Eelco Hooftman, the director of UK landscape architecture practice Gross.Max.
He will speak about landscape “as an exciting and provocative public realm of the senses and how the layers of landscape are unravelled, not unlike the sensuous act of striptease”. So we’ll all be looking closely at the landscaping of Landsdowne Road – sorry, Aviva – stadium and Adamstown district centre, two of Gross.Max’s Irish projects, to see what this means in practice.
The talk at 6.15pm (doors open at 5.45pm) is free. See irishlandscapeinstitute.com
