Morgan O’Driscoll art auction in Dublin

Skibbereen, Co Cork-based auctioneer Morgan O'Driscoll is to stage an art auction in Dublin on Monday, September 23rd at the Clyde Court Hotel, Ballsbridge where viewing begins next Saturday at noon. The emphasis is on affordable art with a wide selection of oils, acrylics and watercolours by Irish artists. Highlights include Irish views, among them Wexford Town by Kenneth Webb (€4,000- €6,000), above, and Point Of Sunset, Glandore, West Cork by Arthur Maderson (€6,000- €8,000). There are four paintings by Mark O'Neill including The Big Tumble Down (€2,500- €3,000). Other notable lots include a set of three Portraits of North African Young Men by Henry Robertson Craig, €1,500-€2,000. The paintings are on view in Skibbereen this weekend before being transported to Dublin.
