£3m expected for Castleconnell hotel

One of Co Limerick's best known hotels, Castle Oaks House Hotel at Castleconnell, is expected to make about £3 million when it is sold by tender on March 4th. The 20-bedroom hotel stands on 19 acres of potential development land. The planners have approved a 30-bedroom extension to the hotel. There is planning permission for 10 detached houses. The sale also includes one of the 24 holiday homes which have been developed in the grounds. The hotel is six miles from Limerick city and three miles from the University of Limerick.
