TOO MANY furniture and kitchen businesses have gone to the wall recently so it’s nice to hear about businesses that are not only thriving but expanding.

Hausmann Kitchens, which has been in business 15 years making bespoke kitchens, bedroom furniture and one-off pieces is a case in point.

It has just opened its first showroom in Nenagh, just off the new M7 motorway. The company has a team of German and Irish craftsmen who make affordable hardwood kitchens in its workshop on the shores of Lough Derg in Puckane, Co Tipperary.

It appears customer care and an eye to the long-term has been the key to their success.

In its press release the company says it has an impressive client list “but rarely mention it”, as they pride themselves on their discretion.
