Houseworks has two models of the same style SieMatic kitchen, reduced to clear to make way for new season styles. One is in its Dublin store the other in the Belfast shop.

In Belfast, the white lacquer style has polished black granite worktops and a range of appliances that include a Gaggenau EB388 90cm oven with pizza stone, a Liebher fridge and freezer, Bosch dishwasher, Bosch 80cm induction hob and Gaggenau 100cm island extractor. This kitchen is reduced from approximately €67,154 (£55,000) to approximately €26,860 (£22,000).

In the Dublin showroom, a smaller version of the same SieMatic kitchen, again with white lacquer finish and black granite worktops, is reduced from €42,299 to €17, 832. This version does not include the appliances pictured. Both prices include supply, delivery, installation of the kitchen and in the case of the Belfast showroom the supply of the appliances to anywhere on the island of Ireland.

A fair deal at Shaker

Shake a tail feather and get to the Shaker Store ((059-8623372) in Ballitore’s Quaker Village, Co Kildare to bag a dining set. A Mount Lebanon work table with two slat-back armchairs and four side chairs, all in solid cherrywood, is reduced from €5,180 to €3,626. The two armchairs have natural-coloured cotton woven seats, two of the side chair seats have a mix of natural and olive green, the other two have a natural and Indian red blend. Delivery within a 50-mile radius is free.

Hot deals cooking in Gorey

Dominic Smith Electrical (053-9484444) in Knockmullen Retail Park, Gorey, Co Wexford has big brand appliances reduced to clear. In cookers there’s a Bosch single oven available in stainless steel or black, normally priced at €875, and matching induction hob, €1,474, that have been reduced, if you buy the two together, to €999. This offer comes with a free set of induction saucepans worth €59. A Smeg 1,100mm range-style cooker, in black or stainless steel, is reduced from €2,399 to €1,449; a touch-control hob, also by Neff is down from €599 to €349 while a Miele built-in steam oven is now down from €899 to €1,899.

An integrated Neff fridge freezer is down from €789 to €499 while ia Kenwood Food Processor is now half price, reduced from €159.99 to €79.99. And the Bose Soundock 10 offers minimalist styling and really good sound. Its down from €799 to €549.

Antica (01-2960136) at Unit 7, Earlscourt Industrial Estate, on Beaumont Avenue, Dublin 9, has limited stock of Firefly, a polished champagne marble tile with white shell fossil detailing, reduced from €98.20per sq m to €63.83 per sq m. The tiles measure 30x90x2mm.

Oak is OK in Ennis

Interio (065-6843626), in Quin Road Business Park, Ennis, Co Clare, has an L-shaped Stella sofa made by Rom reduced from €2,100 to €1,295. It’s upholstered in a duck-egg blue, stain-protected fabric. Also reduced is a beautiful solid French oak table with pedestal legs and a 7cm-thick top. It is down from €2,450 to €1,995. A set of six matching roll-top, cream leather chairs are reduced from €1410 to €850. Delivery is free anywhere in the Republic.

Reds on the bed

Home Couture (01-6215800) at Glencullen House on the Kylemore Road in Dublin 10 has a floor model 5ft contemporary walnut bed and Briody mattress reduced from €1,159 to. €599. The shop also has stock of the following pieces of furniture reduced; a cool recliner chair, upholstered in a brown woven faux leather, is down from €999 to €299, a damask occasional chair, is now half price, down from €399 to €199, and neo-narcissists can drink deep from their silver round mirror reduced from €139 to €79.
