Colliers Jackson-Stops is quoting a rent of £100,000 per year plus a premium of £50,000 for the former American Express office at the bottom Dublin's Grafton Street. Several UK and Irish tenants are already looking at the premises, which has slightly under 1,000 sq ft. Businessman John Ronan, who bought the building for around £1 million, has secured planning permission to convert four upper floors into luxury apartments with floor areas between 1,300 and 2,000 sq ft. It it also planned to provide an additional floor to accommodate a duplex penthouse with over 2,000 sq ft. The units are likely to be rented. In Galway, the same agent has secured a premium of £130,000 for the Vision Express shop, at 1 Shop Street, Galway. The new tenant, Esat, will be paying a rent of £70,000 for the four-storey building.
