A Dublin businessman has paid £1.19 million for a house on a half acre site in Killiney - one of a only a handful of properties with direct access to the beach on the south Dublin coast. Dunromin, an extended bungalow on Strand Road, Killiney, had been expected to fetch around £700,000 by joint selling agents Gunne and Ross MacParland. However, four parties chased the property in bids of £50,000. Dunromin has been in the same family for over 30 years and is in need of extensive refurbishment. In Dalkey, a two-bedroom cottage at 1 Eagle Terrace, Sorrento Road, fetched £345,000 at a Sherry FitzGerald auction. Elsewhere in Dalkey, 3 Gosworth Court, Castlepark Road, a modern four-bedroom house, was withdrawn at £415,000 and sold afterwards for a higher figure through Douglas Newman Good.
In Dun Laoghaire, Ruby Hall at 47 Rochestown Avenue, a four-bedroom bungalow, was withdrawn by Sherry FitzGerald, which is now quoting £299,000.
In Blackrock, Garcanville, a two-bedroom house on Stradbrook Road, was withdrawn from auction by Sherry FitzGerald which is quoting £295,000.
A three-bedroom semi-detached house at 39 Priory Grove, Stillorgan, was withdrawn by Sherry FitzGerald, quoting £300,000.
In Dublin 2, a two-bedroom house at 63 Powerscourt, off Lower Mount Street, was withdrawn by Sherry FitzGerald, which is now quoting £227,500.

In Dublin 8, a three-bedroom terraced house at 52 St Alban's Road, SCR, fetched £265,000 through Gunne. Meanwhile, 6 Warren Street, Dublin 8, a two-bedroom terraced house was withdrawn by Sherry FitzGerald, quoting £230,000.
Nearby, number 31 Dufferin Avenue, SCR, a four-bedroom house in need of refurbishment fetched £205,000 through Douglas Newman Good.
Sherry FitzGerald fetched £125,000 for a two-bedroom end-of-terrace house at Lombard Street West.
North Dublin
In Glasnevin, Dublin 9, 49 Iona Road, a five-bedroom residence, was withdrawn by Sherry FitzGerald, which is now quoting £465,000. Meerae, 416 Clontarf Road, Dublin 3, a three-bedroom semidetached house, fetched £356,000 through Jackson-Stops McCabe.
Braemar, a four-bedroom dormer bungalow at 63 Dublin Road, Sutton, was sold at auction for £482,000 through Hamilton Osborne King.
In Balrothery, Co Dublin, Mourne View, a four-bedroom bungalow on half an acre was withdrawn at £150,000 by Cumiskey Cooke Scales which is quoting £180,000.
In Malahide, 9 Oakleigh Court, a four-bedroom detached house, was withdrawn at £335,000 and is under negotiation through Hamilton Osborne King.
In St Margaret's, Co Dublin, Penleigh, a five-bedroom bungalow on one acre, has sold for £547,000 through Hamilton Osborne King.
In Westown, The Naul, Co Dublin, 30 acres of farmland with planning permission for a detached bungalow was withdrawn by Cumiskey Cooke Scales which is now quoting £300,000.
In Lusk, Ballough, Ashwood, a four-bedroom bungalow on one acre, was sold prior to auction through Hamilton Osborne King.
In Oldtown, North County Dublin, 34 acres of non-residential agricultural land fetched £275,000 through Hamilton Osborne King.

In Kilmacanogue, McCabe Crisp & Partners fetched a strong price of £184,000 for Innisfree, a two-bedroom bungalow on Kilfenora Road. In Aughrim, Robin Cottage, a two-bedroom cottage on half an acre, was withdrawn at auction and agents Clarke Delahunt are now quoting in excess of £120,000.
In Kiltegan, a residential farm at Ballinroan was offered in lots by Kinsella Estates. Lot 1: a three-bedroom house on 41 acres fetched £291,000; lot 2: 16.5 acres sold for £86,000, while lot 3: 19 acres of hill land, was withdrawn at £41,000 and is under negotiation.

In Sallins, Co Kildare, 8 Sallins Wood, a four-bedroom detached house, fetched £189,000 through Colm McEvoy Auctioneers.
In Newbridge, Baywood Villa, Moorefield, a six-bedroom detached house, was withdrawn at £295,000 by Brophy Farrell which is now quoting £310,000.
In Naas, Co Kildare, a four-bedroom bungalow on one acre, Tivoli, Monread Road, fetched £420,000 through Ferris O'Reilly.
On Naas Road, Kilcullen, The Haven, a three-bedroom bungalow on 12 acres, fetched £405,000 through Jordan Auctioneers.
A four-bedroom bungalow at 9 Oldtown Heights, Naas, was withdrawn at £134,000 by Brophy Farrell, which is now seeking offers in excess of £135,000.
Maple Lodge, Christianstown, The Curragh, a four-bedroom bungalow on half an acre, fetched £221,000 through Colm McEvoy Auctioneers.
The same agent sold Carraigafoyle, a three-bedroom bungalow on half an acre at Ballysax, The Curragh, Carraigafoyle, prior to auction.
Also in Co Kildare, Garter Farm, a 31 acre holding at Castledermot, was withdrawn at £220,000 and sold after auction for a higher figure through Jordan Auctioneers.
Elsewhere in Co Kildare, 18 acres of non-residential farmland at Ballycurraghan, Maynooth, fetched £167,500 through Coonan Auctioneers.
Also in Co Kildare, Mylerstown, a four-bedroom bungalow on seven acres at Robertstown, was withdrawn by Coonan Auctioneers, which is now quoting £255,000.
In Kilmessan, Co Meath, Grangeboyne, a two-bedroom cottage on half an acre, was sold at auction for £130,000 through T.E. Potterton. A two-bedroom cottage on half an acre at Jordanstown, Enfield, Co Meath was withdrawn at £70,000 and is now under negotiation through Carey Auctioneers.
In Clonard, Co Meath, 41 acres of non-residential land fetched £185,000 through McDonald Bros.
In Street, Co Westmeath, Daramona House, a four-bedroom period house on 140 acres, fetched £525,000 at auction through Raymond Potterton Auctioneers.

In Kildare, 25 acres of zoned industrial/wholesale land at Newhall, Naas, fetched £3.65m through Jordan Auctioneers. In Kildare town, 19 acres with outline planning permission for 110 dwellings at Green Road was withdrawn at £3.5m and is under negotiation through Michael McWey & Associates.
Also in Co Kildare, a 7.8 acre site at Athgarvan, Newbridge, was sold at auction for £1.3m through joint agents Jordan Auctioneers and Ferris O'Reilly.
