Food callout: Tell us about your favourite outdoor eating experience

The recent changeable weather, typical of an Irish summer, have highlighted both the joy of eating outdoors on a sunny day, and the challenges of doing so when it’s rainy or cold, or both.

Irish Times restaurant critic Corinna Hardgrave has been on the road this spring and early summer sussing out the best places all over the country to enjoy a meal in the great outdoors, and her list of 12 places that have got you covered, with realistically all-weather facilities, is a great read and a useful resource.

But we know that there are loads more restaurants, cafes and gastro pubs that have created impressive outside dining spaces where you can eat in comfort, without getting damp, cold or wind blown.
