Wear it out

A feminine and elegant look, great for anything from a dinner party to a night on the town.

This week we got a chance to shoot Aoife Walsh, Miss Ireland 2013. Less is definitely more for Walsh's weekend look, which is feminine and elegant with classic colours. This look is great for anything from a dinner party to a night on the town.

1. Top Black lace tops are a wardrobe staple. We found this great one in Topshop. They can also be thrown on with a pair of jeans for a great evening look especially when you don't feel like trying on your entire wardrobe before you go out. A good tip for those of us on a budget: grab a black slip from a vintage store and it'll do the same job. Lace cami top (€33) at topshop.com

2. Skirt This beautiful tulle skirt from Folkster brings a fairytale quality to Walsh's look. Available in black, taupe, cream and navy and sizes S/M/L. This skirt could also be dressed down with a band T-shirt and a leather jacket for a daytime look. Skirt (€54) 9 Eustace Street, Dublin 2, or 27 Patrick Street, Kilkenny, folkster.com

3. Bag Bring a pop of sparkle into your look with your clutch bag. New Look have a brilliant selection for great prices. Keep it simple with your other accessories and you can go a bit wilder with your bag. Just make sure it has room for the essentials – phone, wallet, keys, lipstick, naggin... Bag (€19.99) New Look, Jervis Street Shopping Centre, Dublin 1, newlook.com

4. Shoes The 1990s are back. These gorgeous shoes are everywhere but I found that Zara do the best ones – no bells and whistles or extra straps, just what you want. Channel Kate Moss circa her Johnny Depp era. Shoes (€64.99) Zara, zara.com/ie
