Irish Italian style

For a woman not afraid to stand out

Giovanni Borza is a newcomer to Irish fashion – she has an Italian father and an Irish mother. An honours fashion design graduate from Griffith College, Borza won the Louis Copeland Tailoring Award two years ago followed by an internship with fashion designer Joanne Hynes 12 months later. She made her debut this year with a spring/ summer collection and has just launched her winter one made in Ireland in cotton, leather, neoprene and mesh which is dressy and sporty in spirit . Using strong primary colours and chevron graphics, the new collection features oversize shapes and is designed for casual dressing "for a woman not afraid to stand out", she says.
