We may have been a tad over-optimistic last week to suggest you wear runners instead of wellies to Oxegen. Red-faced apologies. By now you will have dried out, so to speak, and you might be in need of some new footwear.

This colourful sneaker is the work of gifted German Bernhard Willhelm, who designed it for Camper, the Majorcan footwear company that embraces all areas of design. It’s the fourth collection he’s done for them and it’s typical of his provocative style. The men’s sneaker features a three-piece sole made in the same materials used for soccer balls, while the women’s shoes combine thick leather with pleated or velvet finishes, and stocky heels with rubber inlays. Other special project designers in Camper’s autumnal offerings include Veronique Branquinho with a new take on the Chelsea boot and the up and coming French designer Romain Kremer’s techno two-tone shoes have a real futuristic rather than retro look.
