Garnier are quite often first to bring Korean inspired blockbusting products to the Western markets, BB cream being the best example. Now, with another of the Korean style products that I am always yacking on about, this cream with its heavy gel like texture and several moisturising ingredients can be layered on with night cream to provide an extra boost of hydration and (my favourite part of the description), “de-tire” skin.

Bobbi Brown Customisible Palettes (€9.50)

Bobbi Brown brings back her customisable palettes in six, four and three pan variations. Create your own personalised makeup kit by filling the empty squares with whichever variation of eyeshadow, blusher and eyebrow colour you fancy. Yes, it may be pricey to fill your palette, but once you do every single shade and texture will work for you.

SkinCeuticals Retexturing Resurfacing and Replenishing Serum (€88)

If your skin is feeling dull and rough it needs a blast of exfoliation to clear away those dead skin cells that are blocking pores and possibly putting years on you. Instead of the standard AHA or lactic acids that are normally used in liquid exfoliators this one uses urea. It works just as well in this formula increasing cell turnover and smoothing scaly skin.

Rimmel Lasting Finish Nude Foundation (€10.29)

By Jove, I said to myself the first time I wore this base (or would have said, were I Old Captain Birdseye), this foundation is really rather splendid, especially for this time of the year. With medium coverage it feels light, will last through sweaty and humid conditions and blends perfectly. But if you are wearing it for the 25 hours it is claimed to last, you are a naughty stop out and you best keep your adventures to yourself.

A real stonker of a palette which you will use and use. It contains all of the Smashbox bestsellers in one one box; nine eyeshadows, contour powders, highlighter, browtech powders and wax.
