Give it a lash

We love our mascara but sometimes our eyes don’t. La Roche-Posay’s Respectissime Ultra Doux mascara is ideal for sensitive types. Made from natural wax for volume and curve and mineral pigments to boost colour, it’s available in black only, at pharmacies. €17.25

A helping hand

This time of year is particularly hard on hands so up the ante on your hand cream for maximum nourishment. Neutrogena has been around for 40 years. Its glycerin formula is effective for lasting relief of dry, chapped skin and it’s available with SPF 15 and costs €5.72. Mavala is better known for its bijou-sized nail colours, but Mava + hand cream is another intensive moisturiser which can help to reduce redness and soothe and smooth skin. It costs €10.20 at pharmacies.

Multi-tasker

Serums are set to be big news in 2013 and Olay has simplified matters by adding one to its Total Effects Day – a moisturiser and serum duo with the added bonus of SPF 20. A great solution for those short of time in the mornings (that’s most of us then). It costs €23.49.

Kiehls creme de Corps, glides on and keeps you moisturised all day

L’Oréal Beach Fizz spray for hair. I don’t spend much time on my hair, I just spray this in and it gives a great, not-too-groomed look, and it smells like holidays.

Escentric Molecule 01 fragrance This is a very unusual fragrance. It has a really positive effect on people when you wear it, somebody will always comment on it . . . in a good way.
