Childcare at home and abroad: Tell us your story

A report published on Thursday shows Ireland's childcare supports compare very poorly with many other countries. According to the study, in Ireland cost was more likely to be a factor in childcare access than in some other countries. In fact, 78 per cent of Irish families with an unmet need for childcare reported that cost was the biggest obstacle.

The study also revealed that people in Ireland were four times less likely than Swedish households to have their homecare needs met.We would like to hear from parents, abroad or in Ireland, about their experiences accessing childcare. Answering questions such as: How difficult was it to access childcare? How restrictive or flexible is the service? How much are you paying each month? How does the system work where you live? And, if you are living abroad, how does it differ from Ireland?
