The Orange Order’s annual July 12th parades are under way across Northern Ireland.

The festivities, spread across 18 main locations on Mondday, July 13th, mark the protestant king William of Orange’s victory over the Catholic king James in 1690 at the Battle of the Boyne.

The march usually takes place on July 12th but is being held a day later, because the 12th fell on a Sunday. The Rossnowlagh parade, in Co Donegal, took place on July 11th.
