A Victorian walnut kidney shaped kneehole desk was the most expensive lot at James Adam's sale last Wednesday, selling for £3,800. In the same sale, a set of 12 early Victorian dining chairs fetched £3 300 a Regency rosewood chiffonier sold for £2,890, and a Victorian mahogany extending dining tab e made £2,500.
