Garryowen's impressive start to the league continued at Dooradoyle when Paul Neville's late try secured them victory over champions Dungannon. The win preserved Garryowen's unbeaten start to the season which now stretches to four games.

Andy Earls's side were good value for the victory but they struggled in the opening half in the line out where the loss of Munster star John Langford was especially felt. On the plus side the Garryowen pack continues to grow in confidence with each outing and Eoin Kelly, Pat Humphreys and Neville were immense on Saturday.

Dungannon got off to the perfect start when outhalf Ian Humphreys, brother of Irish star David, scored an excellent individual try after 11 minutes. However, Garryowen responded in style. Their outhalf Billy Treacy made a break from the Dungannon 22, and evaded a few attempted tackles before touching down under the post.

Dungannon led 13-10 at half-time thanks to two further penalties from Humphreys.
