Ealaín Inis Airc le feiceáil i nGaillimh

Taispeántas nua

Tá taispeántas ealaíon le Pádraic Reaney le hoscailt i nGaillimh seachtain ón Aoine.

Is ar Inis Airc atá an tsraith seo pictiúr bunaithe. Tá Reaney ag obair san inis ón bhliain 2002 agus is minic é ar cuairt chun an oileáin, é ag amharc ar an tírdhreach agus ag taifeadadh na n-athruithe lena shúile cinn féin le líníocht agus le huiscedhathanna.

Scríobhann Hugo Hamilton, údar, faoi gur “fhás Pádraic Ó Ráinne suas i dtimpeallacht a bhí á thréigint ag muintir na háite agus bhí na tithe inar chónaigh siad ag dul as radharc freisin. Is é Padraic an coimeádaí feiceálach do na cuimhní seo atá ag titim as a chéile.

“Coinníonn sé na seantithe seo mar aon leis an teanga a chloisfí istigh iontu. Déanann sé pictiúirí den bhfolús leis an saghas neart a bhíodh sna daoine nuair a bhí sé ag fás suas, i ngach teach, sna scéalta agus san amhránaíocht... Is féidir a rá gur olagón é a shaothar ach is scread é in aghaidh na díchuimhne freisin”.

Is i nDánlann Uí Chionnaith, Eastát Liosbán, Bóthar Thuama, Gaillimh, a bheidh an taispeántas. Eolas: tomk@kennys.ie
