Tá tús curtha le feachtas earcaíochta do 72 post d’aistritheoirí Gaeilge in Institiúidí an Aontais Eorpaigh sa Bhruiséil agus i Lucsamburg.

D’fhógair Aire Stáit don Ghaeilge agus don Ghaeltacht, Joe McHugh, na deiseanna oibre an tseachtain seo caite.

Dúirt sé go raibh “ról lárnach ag aistritheoirí i ngach uile rud a dhéanann institiúidí an Aontais Eorpaigh agus tá an fheidhm atá ag seirbhísí aistriúcháin na n-institúidí sin ríthábhachtach ó thaobh cumarsáide a neartú agus feabhas a chur ar an tuiscint atá ag na saoránaigh ar an mbaint atá ag an aontas lena saol laethúil.

“Dóibh siúd a bhfuil suim acu i ngairm bheatha san aistriúchán ... is iontach an deis í seo...”

Tá an comórtas oscailte do chéimithe ollscoile, iad siúd a gheobhaidh a gcéimeanna an samhradh seo san áireamh.

Ní foláir d’iarrathóirí cumas sármhaith a bheith acu sa Ghaeilge agus eolas maith a bheith acu ar dhá theanga oifigiúla eile de chuid an aontais ar a laghad agus an Béarla, an Fhraincis nó an Ghearmáinis mar cheann amháin acu.

Tosaíonn an scála tuarastail do na poist ag €4,384 sa mhí. D’fhéadfadh sé go mbeadh fáil ag iarrthóirí a n-éireoidh leo ar liúntais bhreise freisin ag brath ar a gcuid cúinsí pearsanta.
