Scéal an domhain agus scéal na n-éan

An dúlra agus an domhan atá faoi chaibidil ag Helen Ó Murchú ina leabhar nua Scéalta na nÉanlaithe: cuairteanna agus cuairteoirí (Foilseacháin Ábhar Spioradálta). Is scéal é atá dírithe ar dhaoine óga ach thiocfadh le duine fásta rud nó dhó a fhoghlaim as an nua faoin éiceolaíocht. Castar Naoise ar an léitheoir agus é ar cuairt ar dhaideo agus mhamó. Tá gairdín mór acu agus Bríd atá ag tabhairt aire dó. Tá spéis mhór aici sna héin agus sna plandaí atá faoina cúram agus, leoga, atá le fáil fud fad na cruinne. Spreagann sí Naoise an doichill le suim a chur ina bhfeiceann sé lena shúile cinn agus lena gcluineann sé lena chluasa féin. Cuireann sí, diaidh ar ndiaidh, iontas na cruthaitheachta os a chomhair.

Tá sleachta as Laudato Si faoi chló Iodálach sa leabhar, sleachta a léiríonn meon Bhríde i leith na cruinne. Tá pictiúir lándaite d’éin dhúchasacha agus de na cuairteoirí a thagann chugainn. Lena chois sin, tá léaráidí galánta dubh agus bán le hAnnaba Ní Ghiolla Pheadair agus roinnt léarscáileanna a thugann léargas ar an domhan ina maireann muid. De réir mar a thugann Naoise cuairt ar an gharraí, is amhlaidh is fearr a thuigse ar a phláinéad féin: “Ach an bhfuil éanlaithe eile sa ghairdín seo?” Ní dhearna Bríd ach greim a fháil ar a chluas agus lámh a chur thar a bhéal. “Sshh, agus éist. Oscail do chluasa.”

Dea-chomhairle! Sshh agus léigh!
