Filí Gaeltachta le léamh i Ros an Mhíl

Scríbhneoirí Chonamara ar Cúirt

Beidh na filí Áine Durkin agus Paddy Mhéime Ó Súilleabháin, beirt as Conamara, ag léamh a gcuid filíochta Tigh Pheadair Mhóir, Ros an Mhíl, Co na Gaillimhe, Dé hAoine, 27ú Aibreán ag 8.30 p.m.

Is mar chuid den fhéile idirnáisiúnta litríochta Cúirt a bheidh siad ag léamh agus tá cead isteach saor in aisce ann.

Is de bhunadh Chonamara í Áine Durkin agus tá sí ina cónaí in Inis Eoghain, Co Dhún na nGall, ó 1980. Scríobhann sí filíocht agus amhráin le cois a bheith ag blagáil faoin ainm, Mise Áine.

D’fhoilsigh Cló Iar-Chonnacht a cnuasach filíochta, Mise Áine: An Bhean Istigh, mí na Nollag seo caite. Bhuaigh Durkin an chéad duais leis an tsaothar seo i gComórtas na Scríbhneoirí Úra i gComórtais Liteartha Oireachtas na Gaeilge 2017.

Tá Mise Áine: An Bhean Istigh líon lán le cuimhní cinn agus smaointe Durkin in imeacht na mblianta. Díríonn sí ar eachtraí pearsanta, chomh maith leis an saol i gcoitinne. Cíorann sí nádúr an duine agus an dúlra ar a dóigh shainiúil fhiliúnta féin.

I Loch Con Aortha, Conamara a tháinig Paddy Mhéime Ó Súilleabháin ar an tsaol i 1944. Tá cáil bainte amach ag a chuid dánta, foilsíodh saothar dá chuid ar an iliomad irisí agus tá mórán duaiseanna bainte aige in Éirinn agus thar sáile.

D’fhoilsigh Coiscéim a chéad chnuasach filíochta, Fuaim na Gaoithe Aniar, mar aon le dírbheathaisnéis a shaol oibre, Seachrán Deoraí, thar trí mhór-roinn.
