A GOVERNESS trap with a wicker body and bright red wheels is expected to make up to £1,200 next Tuesday at John Dunphy's sale in Sixmilebridge, Co Clare. Other lots include a very large 19th century carved oak breakfront bookcase (£4,000-£6,000); a set of 12 Victorian mahogany dining chairs (£3,000-£4,000); six 19th century Irish inlaid mahogany chairs (£1,200-£1,600); and a George III chest-on-chest (£800-£1,200). The sale will also include quantities of mahogany and pine furniture, iron and marble chimney pieces and items of pub decoration.

The auction will start at 10.30 a.m. with a sale of second-hand furniture at 7 p.m.
