Have a cigar: Musician and designer Adrian Fitzsimon celebrates the birth of his new label, Little Drummer Boy, with the release of a superb 12inch vinyl EP featuring four groovy new Irish dance acts. Choice cut is Cigars Of The Pharoah by The Fez.

Angelic of Harlem: Blur's latest single, Tender, released on March 1st, is a gospel- tinged folk ballad which clocks in at nearly eight minutes, even longer than Radiohead's 1997 epic, Paranoid Android. The song sees Damon Albarn waxing all lovelorn while the Harlem Gospel Choir provide spiritual back-up.

Here he comes again: Following the success of Donal Dineen's Here Comes The Night Out tour with The Marbles last autumn, the Dinster is setting up decks in the Temple Bar Music Centre on March 18th, 19th and 20th, along with special guests Mogwai, The Plague Monkeys, David Gray, Lamb, dEUS and The Frames.

Four-legged folk machine: ex-Wonderstuff singer Miles Hunt and his writing partner Malcolm Treece are going walkabout in Ireland between March 3rd and March 7th, playing acoustic versions of classic Wonderstuff tunes plus some new originals. Stuffies should check their Irish Times Saturday listings for details.
