Eminem's latest comeback single misfires on every front. We Made You follows in the well-trodden footsteps of My Name Is, The Real Slim Shady and Without Me. But whereas they managed to be both shocking and hilarious, this is neither. The jokes are recycled, while the targets (Lindsay Lohan, Jessica Simpsons, Sarah Palin) are just other celebrities whose stars, like Eminem's, appear to be on the wane. And he sounds knackered.

Untouchable Fascination★★

"Without any meaning/We're just skin and bone/Like beautiful robots dancing alone." When boybands go off the boil, they tend to get tattoos and dreadlocks. On this evidence, girlbands begin to explore weird, existential themes in their lyrics. If you think this track is heavy going, wait till you hear the B-side: There's Probably No Godand We're All Going to Die.It's a real floor-filler!

Ume (pronounced Ooo-may) are a Texan three-piece who earned rave reviews at SXSW last month. The Conductoris the lead single from their SunflowerEP. As well as being a talented performer, singer Lauren Langner Larson is rather photogenic to boot. Which is nice, given that her bandmates look like extras from Clerks.

Another Texan, Ciara (pronounced Sierra, for some reason) teams up with Justin Timberlake here for what sounds suspiciously like a reworking of his 2003 hit Rock Your Body.
