ORGANISED in association with the Greenlane Gallery, Dingle, this exhibition features work from 17 artists working mostly in the areas of landscape still life portraiture and portraiture and animal subjects. Scattered throughout area some very interesting works, but by and large the selection tends toward the safe and amenable, making for a quiet, non confrontational show.

The landscapes are dominated by two artists who working very different manners. The first, Joop Smits, favours a tight, evenly treated style which labours a little too much in trying to capture the effects of sunlight on foliage Kenmare River, Tourist, however is much better, abounding with wonderfully loose naturalistic brush work.

The second artist, Michael Flaherty, treats landscape more openly using a bright flexible palette notable in Beenoskee with its yellow path pointing to a mountain in the distance. Elsewhere, Patrick Copperwhite's Ponies in the Shade is a touch twee but well painted. Bedroom, Evening Light by Vivienne St ClairCollins is an invitingly cosy interior of the sculptures, the most interesting is the bronze piece.

Balance by Fidelma Massey. Here, two characters with exquisitely modelled sun and moon heads, sit in a boat weighted down at each e to produce a see saw mechanism.
