One-woman wonders: album gigs we’d like to see happen

We've already got our tickets to Patti Smith performing the album Horses in Kilmainham in Dublin on June 1st. But there are a whole host of other iconic female musicians we'd like to see perform one album in full in a live setting. Here's our wish list. Make it happen ladies.

Joni Mitchell - Blue
Mitchell doesn't play live much these days, so it would be a real treat to see her perform her classic 1971 album. It gets better with age.

Alanis Morissette - Jagged Little Pill
It's the 20th anniversary of this gigantic record in June. Ironic was the calling card, but what we really want to hear is Morissette screaming "Would she go down on you in the theatre".

Lauryn Hill - The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill 
One of the greatest records of all time, which invigorated a genre and brought Hill to the masses.

Missy Elliott - Under Construction
Missy's show-stealing performance at the Super Bowl reminded us how much the music industry needs her.

Sinead O'Connor - The Lion And The Cobra
"I remember it, Dublin in a rain storm . . ." – is there a more spine-tingling lyric that O'Connor has sung? This debut record contains some of her timeless classics including Mandinka, Jerusalem and, of course, Troy.

Aretha Franklin - I Never Loved A Man The Way I Loved You
This record is pretty much beyond superlatives and hyperbole. It's perhaps the best.

Björk - everything
Nine consecutive nights of Bjork performing all nine albums in a row. Not that we're greedy or anything.
