THE former Dublin Film Festival manager, David McLoughlin, has been appointed administrator of Film Makers Ireland (FMI), which represents Irish film and television producers and directors. "Following a period of intense and comprehensive review and negotiation," says an FMI statement, the organisation "has emerged in a re-financed and restructured form" and is "now in a position to provide the administrative and operational structure to effectively service the needs of its members and to adequately represent their interests".
