THE first of the annual Christmas fairs is to start next Thursday at Beaufield Mews in Stillorgan, Dublin, where it will run for the following week. The furniture at this event includes a 19th century work box in yew wood, possibly made for the Guinness family, and carved on the side with harps and sham rocks.
The fair also includes small pieces of silver, porcelain and occasional tables, as well as stained glass by Molloy and Roisin Dowd Murphy. Paintings by a large number of artists, such as Philip Moss, Phillipa Bayliss, Letitia Hamilton, Jack Hanlon and Elizabeth Rivers, will also be on sale. The lair runs from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
