How do you get to the gig – limo, taxi, walking?By piggy-back.

What's the best gig you've been to?Villagers in Vicar Street last December. Music was great, but the snowball fight afterwards was even better.

And the worst?Steps in The Point when I was 7 years old.

What are your favourite and least favourite venues? We love playing all the usual well-known venues, but I think one of our favourite venues could be the intimate and largely unknown Chapter One cafe in Cavan. Swan Lane in Navan is also a savage brand-new venue.

Who is the most famous person to have shown up at one of your gigs? We've played to Ronnie Wood, Peter Green, Dominic West and The Rubberbandits, who came along to a gig to sleaze on Aisling.

Most embarrassing on-stage moment?Cringing for Aongus as he coughed up a peanut onto a mic in the Olympia.

What's your crowd-pleasing number?Berlin.

What's the most you've ever paid for a gig ticket?€120 for Leonard Cohen.

Chatting between songs – good or bad?I think it's good to develop a rapport with your audience, but boring them with tedious, self-obsessed stories is not a good idea.

How many roadies does it take to change your lightbulbs? We've the most hard-working managers ever, so there's nothing they can't do.

Have you a special stage wardrobe?I've become accustomed to re-wearing sweaty shirts.

Any useful stage tips?Don't eat peanuts before gigging.

What's the worst thing ever thrown at you?Drunken abuse from a heavy metaller.

If you could be in any other band, which one?Sigur Rós.
