The Nighthawks arts collective are closing off a successful year and rushing headlong into another with their announcement of two upcoming events.

On December 20th, they will team up with RTÉ Radio 1's Arena arts show for a Christmas special from 7.30pm-8.30pm, featuring live performances by next-big-things Little Green Cars, as well as Elevens, Vyvienne Long and Niall James Holohan. On January 12th, the collective returns to its home on North Great Georges Street's Cobalt Café, with music from The Gandhis, Eva Queen, and Roger Gregg's Bee-Loud Glade, and comedy from Kevin Gildea and Totally Wired.

"It has been a really good year for Nighthawks," founder Stephen Kennedy told The Ticket.

"But to be honest, we spend most of our time looking forward. We're already booked up for a good chunk of 2013, and we've some really great shows coming up. I can't wait to get stuck in."
