Magnus Öström: Searching for Jupiter

Former EST drummer Magnus Öström was forced to rethink his musical life five years ago, when his friend and collaborator Esbjörn Svensson died tragically. The EST group ethic was more rock'n'roll than jazz that required a single-minded devotion to the trio, which resulted in an intense rapport between its members. Öström has had to start that process all over again with his new quartet, but he's found willing and able accomplices in guitarist Andreas Hourdakis, pianist Daniel Karlsson and bassist Thobias Gabrielson.
