Sartain's Irish date:Alabaman rock'n'roller Dan Sartain will play his first Irish gig in several years at Crawdaddy on May 21st. New album Dan Sartain Livesis released on May 28th.

Sounds for Tower:Laura Marling (April 10), The Dead Flags (April 15) and New Amusement (April 30) are some of the acts playing free in-store shows at Tower Records in Wicklow St, Dublin, this month.

Beck takes on INXS:Beck's latest undertaking for his Record Club covers project is INXS's multi-platinum Kickfrom 1987. He was joined in the studio by Liars, St Vincent and Sergio Dias of Os Mutantes.

Jedward for panto:It really didn't take long: Jedward will join Linda Martin in Christmas pantomime Cinderella, set to run at Dublin's Olympia Theatre from December 22nd to January 9th next year.
