As monikers go, Motor City Drum Ensemble does sound like a name to be reckoned with. It’s the alter-ego of Danilo Plessow, the Stuttgart producer who’s been making beats since he was a nipper and is creating pristine house tracks as MCDE for labels such as Four Roses, !K7 and his own self-titled imprint. As A DJ, Plessow’s blend of Detroit tech, Chicago jackin’ house and soulful grooves has long proven to be a winning one.

Joining him at the first Pogo of the new year will be Perc. Ali Wells (pictured) is the Perc Trax label boss who has made waves for the past decade. Releases on his label have run the gamut from deep tech-house to heavyweight techno, while his own work as Perc, especially 2011’s Wicker Steel album, is well worth checking out.
