New Year’s Eve Gigs

It’s all to play for tonight when, if the stars line up in just the right fashion, you’ll be able to see the likes of And So I Watch You From Afar bash out a sound that will banish the horrors of 2010, and Fight Like Apes give it their all in a display of garish clothes and spot-on electro-rock.

There are gigs all around the country tonight, from Power of Dreams in Limerick and The Four of Us in Dundalk, to The Saw Doctors in Mayo and Imelda May in Kerry. The best bet for us, however, has got to be Vicar Street’s Mixed Tape bash, where the likes of Lisa Hannigan, Richie Egan, Neil Hannon, Jerry Fish and Cathy Davey tell 2010 to feck off and say a warm hello to 2011.
