And the festivals keep on coming. Interestingly, this is a city-based one, it isn’t on over a slew of consecutive days (a surefire sign that energy levels will remain high and focused), and it features a solid line-up of acts that cuts across a wide range of tastes.

Belsonic kicks off on Tuesday with a performance by 30 Seconds to Mars (pictured), and follows this the next day with a gig by Dizzee Rascal. It gets into fifth gear with shows by Primal Scream, Beady Eye, Tinie Tempah, Elbow, Plan B, Tiësto and The Specials.

And check out the array of support acts, too, including Example, The Vaccines, Katy B, Fight Like Apes, Alex Metric and Maverick Sabre.
