Tvvins: a meaty, groovy, sand-blasted racket

Opening the main stage at an event like this is a daunting task. There are not that many people in yet, the stage is pretty damn big and you're a band that no one really knows. Dublin band Tvvins, recently signed to Atlantic Records, made easy work of the job. You'll maybe know Conor Adams from his other band Cast of Cheers, while Lar Kaye has done time with Adebisi Shank and No Spill Blood. Joined for the live shows by Cork drummer Lewis Hedigan, Tvvins made a meaty, groovy, sand-blasted racket. They have the muscle to go right in your face with their riffs, but there's also a warm, natural nous for the indie groove wig-out. Expect to hear these tunes everywhere in the coming months.
