John Talabot’s third working trip to Ireland in 2012 comes at the end of a magnificent year for the Barcelona-based producer (right). His debut album, Fin, is one of the year’s finest, but even before it landed, Talabot was much acclaimed for his blissful, detailed, soulful electronic music. Take a listen to his remixes for The xx, Teengirl Fantasy (Cheaters is a timeless classic) and Glasser, for instance, and take note of his handiwork. On Fin, Talabot’s talent for shaping melodies that glisten and glow, creating more than just a collection of dancefloor tracks, is abundantly clear on what is a deep, distinctive, sublime, hugely satisfying record.

Support for Talabot, who will play a full live show with his band at this special Body Soul winter outing, include the excellent Nanu Nau, Def Disko and New Jackson.
