If you have already moved on from Rayman 2: The Great Escape, there's nothing much to see here. It's essentially the same title, but with a bit of 3D thrown in. For newcomers, however, it's a classic platform game that has been given a bit of a lift for Nintendo's new console. There is little new that was not in the 1999 title – find the collectibles around the level, combat some bad guys – but there have been a few tweaks. Aside from the inclusion of 3D effects, which add more depth to the game, the controls are different. Now movement is controlled by the circle pad and the camera controlled by the D pad. The camera can cause frustration as it sometimes moves in ways that make no sense. The graphics could have been polished a little more too – essentially they are the same as in the original version. It's an enjoyable game, if a little dated.
