As mentioned elsewhere in these pages, the annual Horrorthon festival is on at the Irish Film Institute next weekend. Keep an eye out for Ciaran Foy’s Irish picture Citadel.
The film has been picking up deserved raves since it turned heads at the South by Southwest Festival in Austin, Texas, last March. Detailing the unhappy adventures of an agoraphobic man coping with single fatherhood in a possessed estate, Citadel will surely propel Mr Foy, a graduate of our National Film School, towards the mainstream. The picture also plays tonight at the London Film Festival.
